We are excited to announce that AAA Minneapolis is launching unique and customized group travel offerings that are only available to members. I plan to lead one of these trips myself to the colorful and beautiful destination of Morocco from September 15-25, 2023. This 10-day/nine-night tour includes roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, activities and excursions—including six UNESCO World Heritage Site visits, a sunset camel ride through the Sahara Desert and so much more. Some of the other highlights of the trip will be:
- Seeing the local Berber villages alongside the forested slopes of the Atlas mountains.
- Visiting the famous waterfalls of Cascades d’Ouzoud with some spectacular views.
- Walking the alleyways of spice-scented souks, a highlight for any traveler in Morocco.
- Taking portraits of the magicians and musicians of Marrakech, tanners knee-deep in dye vats and traditional Amazigh (Berber) families.
- Visiting the ancient tanneries of Fez and witnessing the processes that have withstood the test of time.
